Jennifer Bockhahn

Raised on an organic dairy farm in western New York, Jen learned the intricacies of day-to-day farm operations first-hand. Alongside her father, mother, and siblings, the family ran a dairy farm of just a few hundred head.

After college, she worked as a Dairy Environmental Systems expert for Cornell University for five years. Here Jen focused on anaerobic digestion, methane measurement on farms, cow comfort, dairy barn ventilation, and air exchange.

Over the years, Jen has leveraged her experience to consult farms on the design of dairy facilities, technology and robotics integration, improved ventilation, and cow comfort.

Most recently, Jen led dairy decarbonization at Barry Callebaut, where she spearheaded the development of the first global at-scale, enteric emissions reduction project.

Combining her knowledge of the dairy environment and farmer needs from her youth with the experiences she’s gained over her career, Jen aspires to assist with implementing sustainability throughout the dairy value chain.
